KPRA held a meeting with representative of Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar regarding matters relating to withholding of Sales Tax on Services. Collector Sales Tax on Services KPRA Mr. Jehan Bahadar chaired the meeting in which the Collector examined tax compliance level of WSSP and found it satisfactory however it was observed that WSSP while receiving Services from few service providers whose services are taxed at the rate of 15% is withholding 50% of Sales tax. It was directed by Collector STS that being Government owned entity, WSSP shall ensure 100% deduction of the sales tax charged in future payments. Further, WSSP was also advised to charge sales tax on services when they sign MOU or Contract with other departments or organizations for cleaning or janitorial Services or other related services. The representative of WSSP ensured that they will remain vigilant in future transections and will ensure their 100% compliance. The meeting ended with a note of thanks to and from the chair.
