A delegation of Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED) Programme held a meeting with the Director General KPRA Mr. Abid Ullah Kakakhel and officials of KPRA on Friday. The delegation comprising SEED’s Institutional Development Advisor Mr. Taimur Khan and Delivery Associate Ahmed Rabbani gave a presentation to the team of KPRA regarding their work and assistance with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. They also discussed their plan to assist KPRA in areas of behavior change to improve tax compliance in the province.
Speaking at the occasion, DG KPRA commended the efforts and assistance of SEED and hoped that they would continue to provide assistance to KPRA, particularly in helping it to increase tax net which he said has potential. “KPRA team has worked very well in increasing the tax net but still, there is potential for an increase and would welcome your support and assistance in it because it’s a path to sustainable and self-reliant Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said adding that KPRA is going very well in achieving its annual revenue target and he is sure that KPRA will surpass its annual revenue target. Mr. Taimur Khan from the SEED Programme extended his thanks to the DG KPRA and the KPRA officials for their time and commended the dedication and efforts of the KPRA team in their collaborative initiatives with SEED.
