The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has recorded a 30 percent growth in Sales Tax on Services collection during the first half of the fiscal year 2025-26, collecting Rs23.26 billion during July–December, compared to Rs17.92 billion in the corresponding period of last year.
This represents an increase of Rs5.34 billion, reflecting a strong and sustained improvement in service-sector tax compliance across the province.
According to figures released by KPRA’s media wing on Thursday, the Authority generated a total revenue of Rs26.62 billion during the first six months of the ongoing financial year. This includes Rs23.26 billion from Sales Tax on Services and Rs3.36 billion from the Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC). In the same period last year, KPRA’s overall collection stood at Rs23.81 billion, comprising Rs17.92 billion from Sales Tax on Services and Rs5.89 billion from IDC.
Director General KPRA, Fouzia Iqbal, praised the Authority’s officers and staff for their performance, terming the growth in Sales Tax on Services a result of effective planning, sustained enforcement, and institutional commitment.
“The impressive growth in Sales Tax on Services reflects the strategic planning, performance, and hard work of the KPRA team,” she said, adding that with the same level of dedication and a focused strategic approach, KPRA is well-positioned to achieve its annual revenue targets.
The Director General also expressed gratitude to taxpayers for their trust, confidence, and cooperation, which she said remained central to KPRA’s success. She further acknowledged the support and guidance of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Muhammad Sohail Afridi, and Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance, Mr. Muzzammil Aslam, noting that their leadership has played a key role in enabling reforms and strengthening revenue mobilization.

پشاور: خیبر پختونخوا ریونیو اتھارٹی (کیپرا) نے مالی سال 2025-26 کے پہلے چھ ماہ (جولائی تا دسمبر) کے دوران سیلز ٹیکس آن سروسز کی مد میں 30 فیصد اضافے کے ساتھ 23.26 ارب روپے کے محاصل اکھٹے کرلئے، جبکہ گزشتہ مالی سال کے اسی عرصے میں یہ وصولیاں 17.92 ارب روپے تھیں۔
کیپرا کے میڈیا ونگ کی جانب سے جمعرات کو جاری کردہ اعداد و شمار کے مطابق، سیلز ٹیکس آن سروسز کی مد میں 5.34 ارب روپے کا نمایاں اضافہ ریکارڈ کیا گیا، جو صوبے بھر میں سروسز کے شعبے میں ٹیکس نیٹ کی توسیع اور بہتر حکمت عملی کا نتیجہ ہے۔
اتھارٹی نے رواں مالی سال کے پہلے چھ ماہ کے دوران مجموعی طور پر 26.62 ارب روپے کے محاصل اکٹھے کئے ہیں۔ جن میں 23.26 ارب روپے سیلز ٹیکس آن سروسز جبکہ 3.36 ارب روپے انفراسٹرکچر ڈویلپمنٹ سیس (IDC) کی مد میں وصول کیے گئے ہیں۔ گزشتہ مالی سال کے اسی عرصے میں کیپرا کے مجموعی محاصل 23.81 ارب روپے تھے، جن میں سیلز ٹیکس آن سروسز سے 17.92 ارب اور آئی ڈی سی سے 5.89 ارب روپے شامل تھے۔
ڈائریکٹر جنرل کیپرا فوزیہ اقبال نے ادارے کے افسران اور عملے کی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ سیلز ٹیکس آن سروسز میں نمایاں اضافہ مؤثر منصوبہ بندی، انفورسمنٹ اور کیپرا کے افسران کی ان تک محنت کا نتیجہ ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ “سیلز ٹیکس آن سروسز میں شاندار اضافہ کیپرا ٹیم کی حکمت عملی، محنت اور پیشہ ورانہ کارکردگی کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔ اسی جذبے اور منظم حکمت عملی کے ساتھ کیپرا رواں مالی سال کے اہداف حاصل کرنے کی بھرپور صلاحیت رکھتی ہے۔
ڈائریکٹر جنرل نے ٹیکس دہندگان کا بھی شکریہ ادا کیا جن کے اعتماد، تعاون اور شراکت داری نے کے کیپرا کی کامیابیوں میں اہم کردار ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے وزیراعلیٰ خیبر پختونخوا جناب محمد سہیل آفریدی اور وزیراعلیٰ کے مشیر برائے خزانہ جناب مزمل اسلم کی رہنمائی اور تعاون کو بھی سراہا اور کہا کہ ان کی قیادت کیپرا میں اصلاحات کے نفاذ اور محصولات میں اضافے کے لیے کلیدی ثابت ہوئی ہے
